The following is the latest SITREP (Situation Report) distributed throughout the AmRRON
Network. It is being passed across the airwaves by skilled radio operators via Amateur Radio.
It is being posted here for two reasons. First, as an example to those who are unsure of what
to expect by tuning in and participating in AmRRON Emergency Nets. And secondly, so that those
of you who are not yet HF digital mode receive capable can help us update the information in
SITREP-004. Read below. Hope to see you on the air soon!
God bless, and stay safe!

Update (1605ET): The relatively small and mostly low-profile state of Rhode Island has just marked a milestone in the enforcement of quarantines in the US to battle the onslaught of COVID-19. Gov. Gina Raimondo declared on Friday after reporting the largest 24-hour jump in new cases that all bars and restaurants would be closed, and that the national guard deployed in the state must go door to door in “coastal” communities (eg most of the state) checking for travelers from New York.
In other words, the governor is ordering the national guard to round up all the rich New Yorkers (and other out-of-staters) who thought they could ride out the quarantine at their summer villas by the beach.
Rhode Island has started low level border checks
While not hard border restrictions I have to wonder
Is this the beginning of the states setting up hard checkpoints and regulating entry?https://t.co/pZleIqZUEl

As she said, the 14-day mandatory quarantines on travelers from other states “will be enforced,” according to Newport Buzz, which quoted Raimondo at her press conference Friday.
A friend in Houston advised me that they are under a Stay at home/shelter in place. Same condition as here in Brunswick County North Carolina.

Ohio governor has ordered a shelter in place and closed all non essential businesses. MODERATELY RESTRICTIVE (Non-Essential Business Closures) Grocery stores still somewhat crowded in urban areas. https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/home/stay-at-home-information/stay-at-home-information
Alachua County Fl as of 30 Mar 2020 1930 hrs
County is on strict shelter in place rules. Law enforcement is not, repeating, not taking action against those who disregard the order. Lines at grocery stores, wait time is >15 min and products are plentiful but limited by qty. Fuel has not been impacted yet, prices are falling. Schools are closed until 15 Apr, that is expected to change to the end of April. Students have already been auto-rolled to next grade, but online classes are being conducted. No increase in criminal activity.
As of 21:00 Z Brunswick County NC, is under Shelter in place, except for essential workers, and trips to Medical appointments or to get food, My son works as a mechanic at the local Ford Dealer and he was given a travel pass. He said that since people have been unable to get out no 0ne is bringing cars in to be serviced.
In northern Nevada people are still moving about, but the traffic is very light. Wife and I took groceries to our daughter who wasn’t able to find everything she needed in the Reno area. Light traffic, but it didn’t look shutdown. Same 1 hour further south where we live. I expect that to change, but has allowed us to fill in some holes in our pantry.
