The following was contributed by Papa Romeo Whiskey, piggy-backing off the amazing work of Whiskey-55 who developed the Commstat dashboard and STATREP management and messaging application which works as a companion to JS8Call, weak signal mode and software.

The greatest (but not the only) improvement was the ability to have offline mapping.  Prior to V2, although stations could be seen displayed, there was no map and therefore no orientation as to the geographical locations (visually) once the internet is cut off.

=================================================

The following are the original update instructions provided by PRW.  The primary difference is that you can download them here (below) so PRW isn’t flooded with email requests to the ProtonDrive link.  The PDF also itemizes all of the changes and updates this version contains:

Below is the zip folder containing all of the necessary folders and files for upgrading to Commstat Version 2.  This is BETA (testing phase), but it has worked as advertised for those of us who have been testing, and it’s so nice to have offline mapping capability.
