“Anyone ready for an AmRRON CW net?”……
is the title of a thread posted by [code name] Knoxradio-01 in the AmRRON Corps forum (see below):
That forum posting, became the AmRRON National CW Net!
This is only one example! There have been several operators that have taken the initiative to start nets, become Net Control Stations and even coordinate local meetups! THANK YOU, for volunteering your time and for supporting the mission of AmRRON!

Check in with name, call sign, and AmRRON callsign would be optional. Wouldn’t that be a breach of security? Just asking.
You are correct, we do not use AmRRON code names on the air (ham radio). I will edit the image in the posting so that is not included. Thanks! Polly-01
Kudos to Knoxradio-01 for starting, NCS-ing and continuing the first scheduled AmRRON CW net. AmRRON CW ops are also doing one-on-one skeds and we’re talking about starting regional round-tables.

P.S. the J-38 in the pic is still wired up wrong, unless you REALLY want to send a CONTINUOUS WAVE, HIHI
Roger that on the J-38. I set it up as a photo prop. I had a few other operators catch that. Good eye! Thanks, Polly-01
Yes, the AMRRON CW net is a good idea! CW is reliable and provides some security in a disaster. The net control checkins should open sending at a “beginner code speed” to get newcomer hams involved. At the end of the net then high speed CW can be used for the advanced operators on a side frequency. . Publish some schedule of freqs and times to see how it works and then refine the time and frequencies based on user input. Thank you! 73’s
Thanks for the comment and your interest Jim. I try to keep the code at a manageable speed, and will slow down as much as needed to accommodate the checkin station. I start at about 10WPM and go up or down in speed as needed. We’d love to have you join us. 7.110 MHz, second Saturday of the month at 0200UTC. As it turns out, we had to change this month’s net to this Friday, so maybe you can join us later this week. 73, Knoxradio-01
