Note: In the title of the video and throughout, the term “UV-5R” is used. The radio used in this video is actually the BaoFeng UV-5R+ (plus). Although this video highlights the benefits of the NSTIG-8R, the UV-5R is a great radio for the price! If you like the added features as described in this video and you are able to spend more, then take a closer look at specs for the NSTIG-8R.

Would the Anytone NSTIG-8R serve me well during an emergency situation, even if it’s not GMRS or MURS capable?
