Less than one week after our scenario-based readiness exercise (T-REx 2014), we are faced with a very real threat that is eerily similar to our scenario in the communications exercise.   The AmCON level has been raised to ‘Level-4’.

Saturday morning, August 30th, 2014, a notification was sent out to all members (Redoubters, AmRRON Operators, and AmRRON Corps operators) alerting them of the increased threat of an attack by Al Qaeda & ISIS on U.S. soil.  Details and instructions were posted on the AmCON Readiness Level page at:  https://amrron.com/?p=4180

Government agencies and military intelligence analysts are assessing the threat to be highly credible and ranges from ‘Probable’ to “Imminent.”  Below are some of the supporting documentation and reports.  These sources are reporting a high level of communications activity, where some attack plans are being discussed overtly using unsecure communications.  Other communications, threats, and planning communiques have been obtained using more sophisticated SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) methods.  The primary activity seems to be oriented toward the southern U.S. border (geographically) and on or around September 11th (time window).  Other possible targets indicate the use of small arms and car bomb attacks at the border, military schools and bases, crowded entertainment venues, and schools.
