I also loved reading the Patriot but I couldn’t get into it on Audible. Also The Great State by Shelby Gallagher is good also. Mainly I have every book that Mark Goodwin wrote including the latest one. I haven’t read it yet.
Partisan operators journal because well jjs wrote it and I can’t wait for volume 2. One second after and actually the rest of the series of that story. I count them all as one book. 299 days by glen tate because jjs is in them and I consider the whole series one book. And anything by A. American. And I only buy print because you can’t replace a good book.
Hope to plug into Partisan soon, since I just became aware of those stories. Eager for Forstchen’s latest coming out, in August, I think. Started to remember some of the older books that caught my imagination when younger, like Alas, Babylon; and We, by E Zamyatin.
Terri Blackstone has a series called The Restoration Series that are unique. For one thing they are from a female mind and alot of this genre is from the male mind. Also the thing that went wrong wasn’t human tomfoolery. It was nature that kicked our tail and set us back to around Edwardian era.
James Wesley Rawles How to survive the end of the world as we know it ( and anything else he wrote).

MARK GOODWIN Anything he wrote
One Second after Fortchen
Although I prefer physical books, most are only available online. There are also more I would recommend but you only asked for 4.
Thanks! Please feel free to list any other runner-up recommendations here in the comments section.

I still like to hold a book, newspaper or magazine best

Patriots got me back into the game, and is a must-read. The other four I listed present different aspects of the reality to come.
