Do you have any recommendations on a SSB shortwave radio for monitoring HF?

i wish you at amrron would get china to build a small mobile hf rig for bug out bags. like the hys, anytone, tyt, zastone, “Xiegu but these aren’t cheap” radio’s for a hundred bucks or so. having all hf bands, all modes with sub tones too for10 meter repeater work.. it needn’t be a high powered rig. qrp is more than enough with a tuned loop antenna. and the antenna will be a notch filter. even if the radio spews harmonics like a sieve.
because most qrp rigs are cw only. most are kits and cost ineffective. if i had too, i could feed it through a texas star dx250 amp if i had to be heard. oh and i mean for the rig to be phone and digital capable, not just cw.

Just upgraded my anntena at base camp. Went from an Larsen whip to a coment 4ft base anntena that able to get up to 25 high now. In the install info they said to put a loop in the coxail cable at base of mounting location. Question is what is the loop for? And if don’t have one will the anntena not preform at full strength? Thank you for any knowledge past on. Stay on your 12.
rf is supposed to transmit on the center conductor as an AC signal and the shield is supposed to be a a ground on unbalanced antennas.
But it’s so close to that ac signal and other noise in a modern first world environment; and things arent ideal so the shield gets a little rf on it. By a little sometimes people have been burned or zapped. The loop could be to choke rf off of the sheild. I haven’t seen that antennas instructions. It could also be a rain drip loop but probably mostly a rf choke.
