Local nets take time to build. We will help promote it, but the most successful, and well-attended nets are those where the local NCS/ANCS promote the net within their own communities. Often a free ‘Emergency Communications Introduction’ class can be hosted (at a library, VFW hall, church, etc.) for free or very nominal cost. It’s a great way to provide a couple handouts with local frequencies, description of the local net, intro to AmRRON, and into-to-comms information such as how they can stay informed (CH3 radios, Scanners and SSB shortwave receivers for monitoring, information on how to get licensed, etc.
Also, many of the most successful local nets host in-person monthly AmRRON meetings, where folks are assisted with programming radios, setting up digital modes, building antennas, comms training in general, and building comradery.
This net is new don’t know if anyone realizes it’s up and running yet will still hold the net weekly
