This was the first T-Rex that I got to listen to and I was amazed how organized the exercise was. I did post a Statrep during the exercise but I was committed to helping my daughter move, so unfortunately that was about all the participation that I got to do. I will definitely be looking forward the the next training that is offered. Thank you for putting this together.
I submitted a very detailed response based on all the notes I took and my reflections after the event. Probably more than you bargained for since I learned so much and deeply enjoyed my first event! Thank you so much to all the AmRRON operators who made the event thrilling, to all the work that the team put into the planning and execution.
God Bless everyone who made the event better through either simply participating or playing a lead role, and especially JJS for having to clean all that dust off his equipment in the trailer. That made my jaw drop!
Maybe next year I will turn off grid power and internet beyond the hamshack…
Thank you to AmRRON and JJS for the planning, coordination, and development behind T-REX 2026. The exercise provided a valuable opportunity to test JS8Call, CommStat, FLDIGI, HF propagation, message relays, logging, and backup power under realistic conditions.
The inject traffic and evolving scenario helped expose several gaps in my station workflow and household preparedness, which is exactly what a good exercise should do. I appreciate everyone who supported net control, traffic generation, relays, and regional participation.
