THE CONTEST

17 years old and younger!  (Adults, feel free to practice for fun!)

After practicing this week (see ‘How To Practice And Prepare’ section below):

  • TUNE IN to Live Radio Free Redoubt podcast Sunday evening, December 14th (8pm Pacific), or listen to the downloaded podcast (Episode 25-41) after Sunday night, and carefully write down the secret coded message numbers that Lady Liberty reads.
  • Use the WREATH One Time Pad (OTP) below to decrypt the numbers from the secret message.
  • The secret decoded message IS THE PASSWORD to enter the 2025 Red Ryder Contest Page
  • Entry Deadline!  Email John Jacob Schmidt no later than Midnight, Saturday, December 20th
  • Tune in to Radio Free Redoubt Episode 25-42, Sunday night, December 21st, at 8pm Pacific to hear the winners announced

HOW TO ENTER TO WIN

2025 Young Partisan OTP Contest Page

1.  Use the WREATH One Time Pad to decrypt the secret message numbers that you hear John Jacob read on the December 14th radio show.  Keep the WREATH One Time Pad in a secret place.  This will keep the Grinch from being able to decode the secret message!

2.  Use the Conversion Table below to convert the numbers into the plain text message.  This year, there are letters, numbers, and special characters.  All letters should be upper case, and there should be no spaces in the plain text message.

3.  The decoded message is the secret password for getting you into the Red Ryder 2025 Contest Page (Click below)

4.  Read the story on the Contest Page, and follow the instructions to enter.  Please include your code name, your state, whether you are boy or girl, and your age.

5.  BONUS!  Use the ‘Grand Fir’ OTP to encode the secret message provided in the Contest Page to send back to John Jacob Schmidt for an additional contest entry (two chances to win!)
