Washington DC — National Security officials have issued an increased terror threat warning, based on newly assessed intelligence reports related to an unspecified “imminent threat.” Military personnel have been called back to their bases and leave has been cancelled until further notice. Additionally, military bases and government agencies have been ordered to increase security. White House personnel are being moved to an alternate location and a press release is expected some time over the weekend.
When asked about what instructions might be issued to the civilian population for their safety, White House officials stated only that there’s no cause for the public to be alarmed, and that these were only temporary precautionary measures.
