Simulated real-world training exercise

09/09/22 (WIWT News)  | NATO on Friday morning issued a joint statement in response to intelligence indicating that both Russia and China have moved anti satellite missiles onto their respective navy ships in the last week.  China and Russia both issued independent statements stating they have every right to conduct military training as each country sees fit.  Chinese official news (Jiyna News Network) quoted a senior military official, stating that the US and other NATO countries should “mind it’s own business, and stop meddling in the affairs of sovereign nations, or a serious misunderstanding could result.”

Senior NATO officials have not yet made clear any further actions, or laid out plains for any military or diplomatic responses.

Discussions continue, according to one EU official, that further sanctions might be in order.  Russia responded to the rumors that it would be a “huge error” to discuss further sanctions.
