We are now taking volunteers for ‘Initiating Stations’
Deadline for responses: End of the day, Wednesday, July 7th
The annual scenario-based T-REX 2021 training exercise (August 6th, 7th, and 8th).
Initiating Station: Initiates radio traffic in the form of a SITREP (Situation Report) based on information issued to
him/her prior to the beginning of the exercise. The Initiating Station injects their traffic into the exercise at a
prescribed day and time to help enhance the realism of an unfolding scenario. Most Initiating Stations will be issued
one Inject, however some may receive two or three, depending on the scenario.
Preloaded Traffic (or, ‘Inject’): Injects, issued prior to the exercise, will describe a situation which has developed
in your local area. Each ‘Inject’ will also have a set of instructions or guidance to help you produce a report from the
information you had been given, including the day/time at which you are to send the traffic.
Requirements. An Initating Station must have:
– Digital Mode Capabilities, including the current AmRRON custom FLMSG forms
– HF capability (or ability to reach an HF capable station via UHF/VHF digital modes).
– Must be available on the day(s) your traffic is scheduled to be injected.
– Inform us in advance of any days or times you may not be available, so we can plan accordingly.
Email email@example.com and type ‘T21 Volunteer’ in the subject line.
