In the past week we have seen three significant acts of deliberate sabotage attacks against critical infrastructure.
Some are low tech, such as filling a cell tower cabinet full of firewood, or as sophisticated as detonating a bomb in an attempt to destroy a major AT&T communications hub. In all cases, disruptions of varying degrees were achieved by the saboteurs.
The Christmas Day bombing in Nashville resulted in multiple AmRRON Operators being cut off from conventional communications in Tennessee. Due to the HF digital mode AmRRON Persistent Presence Net introduced one year ago, AmRRON radio operators were able to quickly get STATREPs and SITREPs sent out to others in the network. This allowed other operators to begin assessing the situation and accounting for those in the impacted area.
As we move into 2021, we encourage everyone to participate in as many training and practice nets as possible, and to expand your communications capabilities. This will make AmRRON more effective in real world emergencies when it comes to staying informed and informing others.

AT&T was severely impacted by the Nashville explosion, as their building
was a communications hub for several areas. The blast knocked out cell
phone communications (fiber optics) in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama,
as well as police communications, and military bases in the area.

Thousands of Colorado residents without heat
after attack on gas service

The FBI has joined a criminal investigation of what police said appears
to be an “intentional attack” on gas service lines in Aspen, Colorado,
that left thousands of residents and businesses without heat as temperatures
in the skiing mecca plunged to near zero degrees.Aspen police said the
apparently coordinated acts of vandalism occurred Saturday night at three
separate Black Hills Energy gas line sites, one in Aspen and two elsewhere
in Pitkin County.
Intelligence Analyst comments, from Forward Observer:
(AC: Law enforcement suspects that EarthFirst!, an ecological activist
group, was involved. From the descriptions of law enforcement, it
appears that the acts of vandalism were conducted by individuals familiar
with area gas lines, which denotes pre-operational reconnaissance or
surveillance of the target. None of the pipeline switches had security
cameras, leaving police with few leads so far. Eco-activist/terrorist
groups have a long history of disruption and very good operations security.
Much of the OPSEC best practices promoted by antifascist groups today
originated from 1990s and early 2000s eco-terrorist groups, which really
have mastered the art of OPSEC. Although there was some speculation in eco-
fascist channels that this was an act of Accelerationism, I remain doubtful.
After the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville, I would suspect that
Accelerationists desire more damage and infamy than temporary disruption of
