SCEMD Radio Room manned over night tonight, shift change 0600 SCEMD Radio Room. 3. Looking for reports of TREES down (in roads or on homes-not limbs down) and flood reporting. 4. Be prepared to move Comms resources and/or manpower to any county that gets hit 'hard' in case the need arises (biggest concerns are those closest to GA border). 5. SCHEART & Cola Airport Potential Activation to expect influx of medical patients

Direction changed to more northerly. Eye is close. Automated reporting systems (ATIS AWOS) are not functioning. We still have power. Info we see on web or cable seems to be delayed., will attempt todo a I75 and US 41 recon tomorrow morning.

Visibility about 1/4 mile. Eyewall still over 60 miles south. Power is on 95%. Cable is less than 50%. Impossible to go outside. Ground water looks 4 inches tops. I will monitor 7.243 with indoor longwire. Will keep log.

No govt. Services here. This is not a shelter. Wind reported buy our station is 40 gust 45. Irma is still 6-7 hours away. Tampa bay reports dry from wind from east. Water going out from leadin edge of hurricane will come in at tail end. This is my third hurricane. It is moving very slow which gives it time to wear down structures. Florida Power and Light reports 17,000 workers already staged, plus support for those persons. Pray for them, it is a dangerous job, pray for us. I will post hourly as possible. I an close to ground zero.
