So, this was supposed to start at 2:00pm Central time, right? I’ve been monitoring 14.342MHz every since. Haven’t heard anything.
The exercise is over now BUT you needed to follow the Communication SOI protocol. The SOI would times and freqs to listen to simulate power conservation practices. You would most likely see digital HF traffic between SOI scheduled times because it requires far less power to operate continuously.
In terms of FEMA & Cascadia Rising…none of it made sense and I think FEMA did a lousy job in terms of radio traffic during the entire exercise…even shutting down operations each day at 5pm….who does that in an emergency? However, that was not within our control.
I had too many projects this weekend but kept the radio trained to the 40M digital freq and reviewed the sitrep and 1 pic.
