How to Receive Ham Radio DIGITAL Communications
Finally had a chance to go back and listen to earlier podcasts like this one. I have to agree about ARRL and ARES (and FEMA). We were told no guns anywhere near communications deployments. This and many other reasons led our ARES group to drop the ARES affiliation and now we are just the “… Emergency Amateur Radio Service.” We have AUXCOM and FEMA training, so at least we know how they think/work.
We have also been slowly infusing our group, as well as the larger amateur radio club with radio skills that, surprisingly enough, look like AmRRON’s.
It looks like ARES has changed their tune about this. Perhaps they got a bit more feedback than they expected…
