This is the COMMS UP! Trailer created for the Survival Summit (past event). It is a great introduction to AmRRON and how the AmRRON Network would be used in a real emergency/down situation. We hope this video prompts you to start examining your communications plan (or lack thereof).
Awesome! I think you really captured some of the best aspects of WHY it’s important for every prepper to learn at least basic radio communication skills. Being able to make contact in your local area with other AmRRON operators can make a huge difference when the cellphone (electric leash) is not working. I also like how you showed the ham operator making a long range contact for the young lady, using HF radio. THAT IS REAL WORLD!
I am looking forward to viewing the full video during the on-line training classes starting in a couple of days.
I saw your video on the survival summit and am very interested in getting started on this. I have talked over HAM before, years ago from the middle of the Atlantic, so I know that if it can work there it can work just about any where. Please contact me.
Great video, I watched it again as I was monitoring during Hurricane Doran. Sadly my wife and I were not able to establish contact via CB Channel 3 though we monitored and broadcast hourly per the SOI (for those not familiar with SOI, join up and get one!). First post had help from my cat, please delete and use this one.
